Absolutely! A barre can be a chair, the wall, the counter, a couch or absolutely anything to support you with your balance.
If you are new to The BT Method, I would start with the Starter Series, Basic Barre or quick workouts. The Starter Series is a great place to start if you are pre/postnatal, new to movement or needing a less intense class as the series has no props involved and really brings you back to basics. Basic Barre is also a great practice that uses minimal props and focuses on a more simplistic combination of movements (that does not mean you won’t feel the burn). However, you can always participate in any of the workouts as modifications are demonstrated throughout and you have the option to slow down at any time. You also always have the flexibility to use no props or add them at any time, during any workout.
All classes and workouts can be done with just your body weight alone. You always have the option to add resistance or weight to deepen the movement. Props are used in some classes, but again you always have the option to use none at all.
